We’re excited to co-create the next chapter together!

Dear Sidebar Community,

We hope you had a joyful and restorative weekend!

Over the past month, we’ve hosted five workshops with Sidebar team members and community leaders to uncover the values that make Sidebar truly special. These values are more than words—they reflect how we show up for ourselves and each other, fostering connection, inspiration, and growth.

We’re excited to share a draft of these community values and would love your feedback to ensure they resonate with you and our broader Sidebar community.

Our proposed values are:

1. We show up with courageous curiosity

We step boldly outside our comfort zones, opening ourselves to personal growth, genuine relationships, and powerful connections.

We share our experiences, challenges, and insights with authenticity, inviting others to truly understand and support us.

We are eager to learn and prioritize understanding over ego.

2. We give generously

We share our knowledge, resources, and networks freely, knowing that generosity fuels collective success.

We strive to give back as much or more than we receive.

We deliver open and candid feedback with the intent of giving others the confidence and tools they need to realize their own potential.

We gratefully acknowledge one another’s contributions and achievements with a positive spirit that fuels mutual respect, admiration, and connection.

3. We honor our commitments

By joining Sidebar, we are actively committing to investing our time and energy in ourselves and each other, while encouraging one another to do the same.

We are each contributing members who bring our own unique strengths and ideas to the table. We embrace the diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives with open arms. We welcome and celebrate every member exactly as they are, from day one.

We have fun! We share laughter and lighthearted moments to build bonds and make the community an enjoyable space to look forward to.

4. We embrace learning as an adventure

We believe that learning something new is an exciting and empowering opportunity to expand our horizons.

We ask thoughtful questions, listen deeply, and seek insights that go beyond the surface.

We set ambitious goals but stay rooted in the process, embracing the lessons and growth along the way.

5. We approach challenges with self-belief and confidence

We trust in our self-confidence to find our footing no matter what comes our way, knowing we can comfortably navigate uncertainty.

We have a bias toward action. We create space to air challenges and frustrations so people can feel heard; then we work together to forge a path forward.

We stress progress over perfection and continuously move forward. Our steps towards our goals are consistent and intentional
